Student Essay Competition 2020 The competition We are running the sixth annual Student Essay Competition in partnership with SAGE Publications. The competition is open to all RSPH Student Members and the deadline for entries is 31 October 2020. The winning article will be published in the May.
While writing essays, many college and high school students face writer’s block and have a hard time to think about topics and ideas for an essay. In this article, we will list out many good essay topics from different categories like argumentative essays, essays on technology, environment essays for students from 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grades.
The 2015 competition question asked students to submit an essay exploring the neurological, cognitive and social implications of substance abuse. Students were asked to write about one type of substance use (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, cannabinoids, opioids, stimulants or hallucinogens) and a scientifically tested measure for prevention or intervention.

No individual student may submit more than one entry into the competition. Candidates may discuss the subject matter of the essay with other students and teachers at their school; however, the formulation of the argument and the writing of the essay must be the work of the student alone.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's renowned Student Surgical Skills Competition gives aspiring surgeons in their final year of UK medical school an opportunity to practice and compete in surgical challenges against their peers from across the UK.
School students who are in classes 9 to 12 can participate. During the competition, students will have to write essays on various topics under the theme Atma Nirbhar Bharat-Swatantra Bharat. The competition will be held online. The deadline to submit the essay is August 14.
